The next Windows 11 update is coming and it's huge. This is everything you need to know about this update.
Microsoft Copilot Microsoft Copilot is the new AI assistant for Windows 11 and other Microsoft apps. It's powered by ChatGPT. It's based on the same technology as the Bing Chat sidebar in Microsoft Edge, but it's integrated directly in Windows. You will be able to access it from the taskbar and from its keyboard shortcut (WIN + C).
New File explorer Windows 11 will get a huge File Explorer update. The details pane, home page, address bar and more will be completely redone using XAML as a base. This new update will increase the integration with OneDrive and other Microsoft services.
Settings The settings app is getting an update with a new "Home" page. This page will include cards for your Microsoft account, recommended settings, personalization and more. The settings app is also getting a new unified dynamic lighthing page, also known as a hub for all your RGB devices, if they are supported.
Dev improvements Microsoft is improving the developer experience for Windows 11 users by adding Dev Drives, virtual volumes using the ReFS file system for less data corruption and better performances.
Windows Backup Windows backup is the new way to back up your PC: it will back up your app pins, installed apps, settings and more directly on OneDrive.

How to get the update As of September 21 2023, the only way to get Windows 11 23H2 is to join the Windows Insider program. In the Beta channel, the full feature set is currently in preview and in the release preview the feature set is in build 22621.2359. The "Moment 4" update will come on September 26th and the 23Hw update in October.
